Israeli singer-guitarist Avi Haviv will give a rare concert evening of his original music as a fundraiser for Take Root on November 3rd.  The 90 minute concert will take place at Kol Ami in Vancouver, preceded by a hosted wine hour.  There will be tours of congregation Kol Ami’s lovely new facility, and, a gallery showing of art and poetry created by the former missing children participating in Take Root’s Support Branch program for victims of child abduction; the first and only ongoing aftercare support program for victims of child abduction when they are no longer missing.  Take Root is the brainchild of Haviv’s wife Melissa, a Fulbright Scholar who was once a missing child.  Melissa Haviv will speak during the event about her experiences and the role Judaism played in leading her to found Take Root. Please join us for an evening of music and inspiration in support of a unique and worthy cause.
